Champions League streaker, Kinsey Wolanski, and her You Tuber boyfriend, Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, have been thwarted in Brazil attempting a repeat during the Copa America Final between Brazil and Peru. There are some weird and wacky ways to make a living (such as sitting in coffee shops writing things like this), but one of the oddest, and increasingly more common, is doing ridiculous things, and posting them on social media. The 23-year-old wants to retire by the time she’s 30 and has a unique plan of achieving that goal – streaking. On June 1, Wolanski was the only thing worth watching during a dour Champions League Final between Liverpool and Spurs, when she burst through pitchside security, and ran into the centre circle, wearing a black swimsuit with the words ‘Vitaly Uncensored’ covering her impressive assets.‘Vitaly Uncensored’ is an adult website owned by Wolanski’s boyfriend, Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, a man who now commands a ten million plus YouTube following after his better half’s Champions League sprint. The Spanish fuzz dragged Wolanski’s rather cute derriere to prison, and by the time she had emerged, her Instagram followers had risen from 230,000 to 2 million followers (3.3m, today).

It appears that DraftKings will now have its own platform provider as the American sportsbook and daily fantasy operator will reportedly take over SBTech.A leading business-to-business supplier of online sports betting technology, SBTech has worked with some of the biggest sports wagering operators around the world.Promoted by some of the biggest global athletes, including boxing’s Tyson Fury, the provider’s reputation will likely be a solid get for DraftKings. It now will bolster DraftKings’ growing presence in the new American sports betting industry thanks to a deal worth over $600 million according to the Times in London. While the deal hasn’t been officially discussed publicly, DraftKings addressed inquiries about it with the following statement:“DraftKings speaks to a variety of companies regarding various matters in the normal course of business, and it is our general policy not to discuss the specifics of any of those discussions.”Deal Should Help Both Companies’ US PresenceBoth parties have recently upped their stakes in the U.S. ever since the country effectively legalized sports betting last May.

An extremely long foul ball north, a man leaned over the wheel of his golf cart, spending his shift guarding the few dozen parking spaces at the South Philadelphia Race & Sportsbook. The trickle of cars from Packer Avenue that were turned in toward the retrofitted off-track betting parlor were driven by regulars. The means to change all that had begun, fitfully, just a few weeks before as mobile sports betting finally launched in Pennsylvania in late May.A sport that had endured two of the most publicly damaging gambling episodes in American sports – the 1919 Black Sox affair and Pete Rose’s banishment from the game for betting on the sport as a manager, as outlined in the Dowd Report – that had therefore denounced sports betting a pox for a century, was slowly, but collectively evolving. Before that, before baseball and its owners responded to public pressure in 1921 by banning eight White Sox players for their roles in delivering a World Series to the Cincinnati Reds, there were the gamblers in special boxes who handled their action.Logistical problems with multiple platforms including a lack of an iOS App store option still make a mobile bet much more of an endeavor than in nearby New Jersey.

Dust has barely settled on the UK’s hard-won move to reduce maximum stakes on Fixed-Odds Betting Terminals, yet sitting before the Irish government is new legislation to increase stakes on gaming machines by 300%.The Gaming and Lotteries (Amendment) Bill is designed to modernise the permit and licensing regime for gaming and lottery activities, which is currently governed by legislation drawn up in 1956 and 1931.Though welcomed as an interim measure, while the industry awaits proper reform of gambling regulations, debates last month became heated over the bill’s provision for an increase in maximum stakes on gaming machines from 3 cent to €10.That’s almost a 350-fold rise, and well out of line with the UK’s new Fixed-Odds Betting Terminals (FOBTs) rules of £2, down from £100 - which have been voluntarily adopted by leading bookmakers in Northern Ireland, such was the industry support. All present recognised the need for increasing the “archaic stakes and prize limits” for gaming machines, but independent senator David Norris was among those baffled by decisions to increase them so astronomically.“They are enormous and vast increases,” he told The Irish Times.

Faced with a record onslaught of home runs that has convinced many pitchers that baseballs are juiced, Commissioner Rob Manfred says the sport has been unable to find any changes in the manufacturing process.A May 2018 report to Major League Baseball by professors specializing in physics, mechanical engineering, statistics and mathematics concluded there was less drag on the ball, causing more home runs.MLB still has not figured out why, and Manfred denied accusations by AL All-Star starter Justin Verlander and other pitchers that baseballs deliberately had been altered. To the contrary, they’re concerned about how many we have.”Batters have hit 3,691 homers in 1,345 games, on pace for 6,668 over the full season. That would be 19% above last year’s 5,558 and 9% over the record 6,105 hit in 2017 that topped the Steroids Era high mark of 5,693 in 2000.

Alonso outlasted a worn-down fellow rookie Vladimir Guerrero Jr. in the final round Monday night to take home a prize that nearly doubled his 2019 salary.“There’s so many guys that just put on a show, like Joc, he was amazing, Vladdy, they did such a good job,” Alonso said.Alonso is the second rookie to win outright, following Yankees star Aaron Judge in 2017.The first baseman will showcase his swing again in Tuesday night’s All-Star Game as baseball continues this season of the longball. And he’ll also give 10% of his prize money to charity — 5% each to the Wounded Warrior Project and to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.“And I just want to use my platform as almost kind of just reach out to people and just make people aware of these causes.

The Oklahoma City Thunder obtained yet another first-round pick, which allows them to do a little bit of anything. The Nuggets bolstered their front court by acquiring the 25-year-old Grant from the Thunder on Monday for a 2020 first-round pick. It’s an additional first-round selection for the Thunder, who are in line for at least four more assuming the blockbuster deal that sends Paul George to the Los Angeles Clippers goes through. He shot 49.7% from the field and 39.2% from 3-point range. On the defensive end, he displayed his versatility by blocking 100 shots and recording 61 steals.“I think it’s one of the best things that could have happened to my career, just getting traded here from Philly.

We’ve already seen some upsets this year in south west London, but this is seismic. And yet the American was never overawed or outplayed, even at a set down. For her efforts, she’s been cut from 80/1 to 14/1 in the outright Wimbledon betting market.Women's Wimbledon Outright OddsPlayerOddsBookiesSerena Williams6/4Bet365Simona Halep13/5William HillJohanna Konta9/2CoralElina Svitolina10/1BetVictorAlison Riske14/1BetwayWith Monday defeats also handed out to third seed Karolina Pliskova, and then two-time champion Petra Kvitova, it leaves eighth seed Elina Svitolina and 11th seed Serena Williams as the highest ranked players left in the women's draw.Elsewhere on a stacked Monday at the All England Club, seventh seed Simona Halep ended teenager sensation Coco Gauff's incredible run, the American qualifier having already knocked out Venus Williams, Magdalena Rybarikova and Polona Hercog.Halep moved from 6/1 to 5/2 second favourite with that win, but the story of the day in the women’s singles event belonged to 29-year-old Riske for knocking out top seed Barty against the odds.

The expansion of legal sports betting in the United States and former New Jersey Gov.Chris Christie’s role in it are absent from the 384 pages of his first book.In a wide-ranging interview with Gambling.com, the often-controversial two-term governor, former Republican presidential candidate and generously opinionated political analyst offered insights on how legal sports betting both in New Jersey and nationally has performed so far and what it can become. How Far New Jersey Has ComeGambling.com: A few months after the one-year anniversary of the repeal of the PASPA, how has the New Jersey market developed in comparison with your expectations? So I think those two things, the first being that we have low barriers to entering in terms of getting in, and second that we have a robust online option that also protects our brick-and-mortar casinos because they have to be partnered with an existing casino owner, license-owner, I think it's really led to New Jersey having the model that the rest of the country should follow. And there's also some people who want the experience in New York of being in a sportsbook, who have made the FanDuel operation at the Meadowlands very successful.

Sitting next to Justin Verlander, American League manager Alex Cora cheekily declared “we’ve got the opener” as he described his pitching plans.Houston’s ace has been among the players most critical of some teams’ practice of using relief pitchers as ersatz starters for an inning or two.A 36-year-old right-hander, Verlander is 10-4 with a 2.98 ERA this year for the Houston Astros, striking out 153 in 126 2/3 innings. He allowed five runs in the first inning during the 2012 All-Star Game at Kansas City, including the first bases-loaded triple in All-Star history, to Pablo Sandoval.“He was at first base, and he kept whispering at me, ‘Ver, Ver, Ver, throw 100.’ OK, Prince, here we go.So that was back then.”

All-Star Game tied 4-all Tuesday night at Progressive Field, flamethrower Aroldis Chapman set to face rookie sensation Pete Alonso to start the top of the 10th inning. Before the first pitch, Kris Bryant casually trots from the National League dugout to take a lead off second base.Already employed in the minors, the World Baseball Classic and Olympic softball, a new rule takes effect this week in front of a major league audience: Every extra inning in All-Star play — top half and bottom — begins with an automatic runner at second.“Oh, they are doing it?” asked Atlanta manager Brian Snitker, an NL coach. The crowd in Cleveland got a glimpse of the future, maybe, on Sunday night when the Futures Game used the rule for an inning. The last two All-Star Games both went extras — Robinson Cano hit a leadoff homer in the 10th at Miami in 2017, Alex Bregman did the same last year in Washington.

Matthew Wolff made a 26-foot putt from the fringe for an eagle on the final hole to win the 3M Open at 21 under par on Sunday, beating Collin Morikawa and Bryson DeChambeau by one stroke in a tense finish to the first-time PGA Tour event. The 20-year-old Wolff struck his second shot on the 573-yard, par-5 hole from the fairway to the far left of the green where it landed just a few feet away from a bunker. When the ball rolled on the left edge and about 3 feet too long, Morikawa winced as Wolff hugged his caddie in celebration of the $1.152 million prize and his tour card just six weeks after winning the NCAA individual title with Oklahoma State. The lively crowd, which went five rows deep behind the ropes near the final green, roared when DeChambeau crushed his second shot 204 yards from the intermediate rough onto the green within 6 feet of the pin.The world’s eighth-ranked player sank that putt for one of the seven eagles on 18 during the final round in yet more humid, wind-free conditions.“I had no idea he would make that putt,” DeChambeau said, adding: “It’s so competitive now.

A 500-1 longshot making just his third career Cup start, Haley won the rain-postponed, rain-shortened race at Daytona on Sunday. The wait of 2 hours, 12 minutes was well worth it for the 20-year-old Indiana native driving for first-year team Spire Motorsports.“I had no expectation to win this race,” said Haley, admitting he’d have quickly been passed for the lead if the race resumed. That was the whole goal of the race, to finish with no scratches.Yes, I really did pray for rain.”The race — the last surrounding the July Fourth holiday at Daytona since the event began in 1959 — was scheduled for Saturday night but forced into Sunday afternoon because of persistent rain and lightning that washed out most of this final Independence Day party at NASCAR’s birthplace.

The United States has won the Women’s World Cup for the fourth time after beating the Netherlands 2-0 on Sunday night.Forward Megan Rapinoe’s coolly taken penalty, following a video review, put the defending champions ahead in the 61st minute.Midfielder Rose Lavelle’s fine solo goal made it 2-0 in the 69th, as she powered to the edge of the penalty area and hit a low strike.Rapinoe’s sixth goal moved her even with teammate Alex Morgan and England’s Ellen White as the tournament’s leading scorers. She was mobbed as she dived into the arms of her teammates as she sprinted to the U.S. bench to celebrate.Rapinoe confidently struck the spot-kick down the middle and past a static Sari van Veenendaal, who seemed to anticipate Rapinoe would shoot to the side and was wrong-footed.
