The Triton Super High Roller Series will go higher than anyone has gone before this August, as they've announced they plan to break the record for the highest buy-in poker tournament ever held.According to Triton's website, starting Aug. 1, they'll hold a £1 Million Main Event for Charity as part of Triton Super High Roller Series London.Due to exchange rates on currency, that appears set to surpass the €1 Million Monte-Carlo One Drop Extravaganza.Details are scarce, with only a hype video posted on the site, but Triton's tournament appears to be a three-day event taking place early in the series, which begins July 31 and ends August 8.Triton will be breaking into new ground with the London event, after holding tournament series in Philippines, Montenegro, Macau and Jeju over the past few years, catering exclusively to high rollers. The Triton event in London marks the third year out of the past four that a tournament of at least $1 million will be held.
A federal appeals court set the date for arguments for Monmouth Park Racetrack’s lawsuit against the professional sports leagues in the US and the NCAA.The lawsuit by Monmouth claims that the racetrack was improperly prevented from opening sports betting back in 2014 when legislation from New Jersey legalized it within the state. They seek $140 million in damages of lost revenue between 2014 and May 2018 when PASPA was overturned. The biggest point of the case being pushed by New Jersey and Monmouth is the fact that the leagues were making money promoting fantasy games, and that the court order they went seeking for to stop sports betting was in bad faith.Essentially, because the major sports leagues were making money off games that depended on player performance, they essentially kept sports betting to themselves under the guise of retaining league integrity.Monmouth contended that the years following were highly detrimental to the track.”During the intervening years the Leagues’ actions nearly put Monmouth Park out of business, inflicted significant financial and emotional hardship on hundreds of innocent Monmouth Park workers, and jeopardized the continued viability of New Jersey’s entire equine industry, including its many horse farms and related open spaces.”

Aston Villa and Derby meet in the Championship play-off final on Monday, with Villa having won both league meetings between the clubs this seasonIt is the richest game in football, but the Championship play-off final between Derby and Aston Villa will leave the loser facing financial strain according to sports finance expert Dr Rob Wilson.Football business analysts Deloitte say the winner of Monday's Wembley showdown could earn more than £300m over five seasons if they stay in the Premier League for just one term.A solitary season will see an increase in revenue of £170m.However, the loser faces another season in the Championship, and both Derby and Villa have tested the profitability and sustainability regulations in recent years."Whoever loses won't then be able to spend money next season when they are in the Championship - a league that we know is quite competitive and will be full of clubs with parachute payments, including three with particularly decent squads coming down from the Premier League.

Empathy, agility and team alignment are the key steps to success in the future of work, Slack’s Stuart Templeton told Inspirefest 2019.And added to this cacophony of technology most millennial workers want to also bring the tools or apps they believe will make them successful in the workplace.“According to IDC 40pc of the Fortune 500 companies will be extinct in the next 10 years because they will have failed to build the innovation into their organisation. They will have failed to build the resilience and agility to move at the pace of changing market conditions.”The importance of organisational agilityTempleton pointed to an essay by San Francisco-based investor Benedict Evans who drew on an analogy from a movie called The Apartment, a film about a worker at an insurance firm in the 1960s surrounded by rows and rows of workers at desks all contributing to a giant adding-up machine.

The Bucks are back in Milwaukee looking to regain momentum in the Eastern Conference finals.Coach Mike Budenholzer believes the play of his bench will be a major factor in what happens in Game 5 on Thursday. The Bucks reserves played so well in the first two games of the series that the teams’ apparel shop unveiled a “Bench Mob” T-shirt, celebrating the efforts of Malcolm Brogdon, Ersan Ilyasova, George Hill and others.Milwaukee’s bench outscored Toronto’s reserves 130-78 through the first three games of the series.I think there’s things offensively where the bench can, you know, just like the rest of us, we have to execute a little bit better.... this series, the benches have been critical and very influential and credit to Toronto’s bench, particularly.
Perhaps a more realistic picture is emerging around venture funding in Ireland?Venture capital funding in Ireland fell 41pc year on year to €197m in the first quarter, according to new figures from the Irish Venture Capital Association (IVCA) and William Fry.However, last year’s Q1 figures were buoyed up or distorted by bigger-than-average funding rounds achieved by both Intercom (€101m) and AMCS (€100m).‘Despite the overall fall in funding, the Irish venture capital community continues to be the main source of investment for Irish innovative SMEs’If you stripped those deals away, the IVCA argues, then regular funding levels are showing signs of growth and a more normalised picture is emerging.“Last year included two mega deals of €100m each for Intercom and AMCS.

1 - “You've Just Dropped the World Cup, Mate” - Headingley, 1999While Steve Waugh did not utter these exact words to Herschelle Gibbs at Headingley, the incident has gone down in folklore as an example of South Africa's propensity to choke on the big occasion, and is one of the most memorable moments from any Cricket World Cup.Chasing 272 to win, the Baggy Greens were on track with captain Waugh and Ricky Ponting both passing 50 in a sizeable fourth-wicket stand. But the man whose century with the bat could have been the matchwinner spilled it as he prepared to hurl the ball in celebration. That became nine off seven as Klusener hammered a full toss towards Reiffel who could only tip the ball, goalkeeper style, over the rope for six. With 'White Flash' backing up too far, a direct hit would have run him out but Lehmann's throw just missed.
A Midnight Esports pro is in hot water over a betting tweet, Tfue sues FaZe Clan, and Ferarri rethinks F1 Esports involvement.Concerning a twitter conversation with Evil Geniuses’, Jordan “JKap” Kaplan, Provenzano tweeted. The tweet has since gone the way of Frozen’s ‘Marshmallow’, but screenshots have been saved, and will no doubt be used to hurt the lad when the Call of Duty World League (CWL) complete their investigation. If you play in the CWL then betting on CWL matches is strictly forbidden as per Section 6.2 of the CWL Handbook’s “Betting and Gambling” rules, and one would think is also common sense.Turner “Tfue” Tenney is suing FaZe Clan citing a limited ability to pursue his profession due to stringent and unfair contract stipulations.Freedman claims that professional Esports players and streamers are ‘artists, entertainers and content creators’, and they need protecting in an industry that has “little to no regulation or oversight” when dealing with the ‘young and trusting.’
